How to Date an Otaku Girl

Description:
College student Mutou Ookawa catches a glimpse of Ametani Yuiko, his co-worker from a former part-time job and falls immediately in love. Summoning up his courage, he eventually confesses his feelings to her and she responds "...but I'm a fujoshi." Mutou not having the slight clue what "fujoshi" means, immediately responds "That's OK!"

It was a funny movie, with barely any real conflict. As Princess Fluffy and I were watching it, she kept asking questions, since she had/ probably still has no idea what was going on at some points. Only two conflicts(?), them getting use to each other, and then her moving. Sure, it's more realistic than anything I have watched up to now, but I had gotten used to it.
Spoilers:
Some things to point out, she warns him that she is an otaku, because there has been negativity towards otakus. It's a big deal to hold hands in Japan, since most Japanese people do not show affection such as holding hands and hugging in public. The fish symbolize their relationship.

Marvel Anime: Wolverine

Description:
Logan learns that his girlfriend Mariko Yashida (who disappeared a year ago) has been taken to Tokyo by her father Shingen (who is the head of the Japanese crime syndicate Kuzuryu and a supplier of A.I.M.) in order to be wed to Hideki Kurohagi. Wolverine goes on a quest to rescue Mariko and defeat Shingen and Hideki while encountering some opponents along the way.

Action packed, was pretty good. Didn't like the ending at all. Sure, I was expecting people to die... but some last words made no sense, or there was no real reason for them to die and it be a big deal. In the Marvel Anime: Iron Man, I liked how Logan randomly showed up, and thought that scene something suggesting it happened, would, well, happen...but the most that happened was "Did you hear about Tony Stark?"...Yeah, not much. Questions: How does Yukio blend in? Her outfit screams " I'm an assassin" or at least something to take note of...How does Yukio carry all of her weapons? At one point she was throwing tons of kunais...And what happened to his jacket? One second he is wearing it, next it's flying...in the end he is putting it on, like nothing happened and it was on him the whole time.

Quote of the week

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strike out against injustice, he sends a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Marvel Anime:Iron Man

Description:
Tony Stark goes to Japan to produce a new arc reactor power station and showcase the Iron Man Dio, a new prototype armor, that will replace him when he retires. However, the Iron Man Dio goes out of control and it is up to Tony as Iron Man to stop it along with an organization called the Zodiac. Iron Man even gains an ally in JSDF operative Captain Nagato Sakurai piloting the Ramon Zero armor that his military group made for him. Iron Man soon discovers that his old friend Ho Yinsen (who Tony thought was dead upon his first time as Iron Man) is alive and is operating the Iron Man Dio armor for the Zodiac's goals.

Action packed, with drama, and a dash of romance. I liked it overall, would have liked it more if someone didn't watch over my shoulder, when the person has things to do and can watch it on a bigger screen that's not over my shoulder. Didn't like Tony's hair at first, but it grew on me. Doesn't really explain anything, but shows how easily people are used. It was obvious who the bad guy was....

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Description:
An ex-mercenary is forced out of isolation when three mysterious men kidnap and brainwash the city's children afflicted with the Geostigma disease.

I was very lost due not playing the video games or watching the other movies. Lovely graphics, and plot if I knew the plot...hopefully. It kind of made me want to get off my lazy butt, buy the game, and look for the other movie/animes.....but laziness won. I doubt the movie/animes will help a lot though, because there are not a total of seven movie/animes....oh well. Cloud's bike breaks many laws of physics, but so does many things about the movie....video games...

I would love to learn more about it, is I guess what it boils down to

Star Driver

Description:
Star Driver takes place on the fictional Southern Cross Isle. One night, a boy named Takuto washes up on shore swimming from the mainland. He later enrolls in Southern Cross High School as a freshman and makes new friends. However, beneath the school is a group of mysterious giants called Cybodies, which can be controlled by humans in an alternate dimension known as Zero Time. Takuto, The "Galactic Pretty Boy", finds himself dragged into opposition with the "Glittering Crux Brigade", a mysterious group that intends to take possession of the island's Cybodies for their own purposes as well as break the seals of the island's four Shrine Maidens, whose powers prevent the Cybodies from functioning outside of Zero Time.

It was okay, watched it here and there at school (yes, I watch anime[and comics too] at school like an evil person that doesn't listen to rules)...Forgot about it when I only had two episodes left (what was I thinking???)...I think I was mad at one of the characters. The end was left too open, and feel as if there were too many questions left unanswered. So I hope they have another season, yet at the same time I don't, because it would be too much and that they took care of everything? Weird that some of the characters have annoying voices yet sing wonderfully....

The Legend of Zorro

Description:
Despite trying to keep his swashbuckling to a minimum, a threat to California's pending statehood causes the adventure-loving Alejandro de la Vega -- and his wife, Elena -- to take action.

The sequel to "The Mask of Zorro".  Another great movie, I need to find another way to rate movie....like a fixed thing... Anyhow tried to figure out the age that "Zorro" was in the first movie: he was bigger than his 10 year old kid, making him older than 10...so he is at least 10 years older than "Elèna"....yet she seems more mature, and they seem the age-ish give or take a few years. And was the kid in freakin' training to be the next "Zorro", since he had a lot of good moves. Liked the ending it was funny. Also, what is up with the people that love her, they are all crazy in someway.

The Mask of Zorro

Description:
A young thief, seeking revenge over the death of his brother, is trained by the once great, but aged Zorro, who is also seeking a vengeance of his own.

I like the movie a lot. At points in the movie I felt that Zorro was a Hispanic-ninja, because it was sneaky and somewhat calculated, when I say ninja I am not referring to the "Naruto" type of ninja. At other times it was an epic fail on him trying to be awesome, which brought the comedy to another wise action packed sad movie. Confused on what their ages are supposed to be, since before the twenty years she is an infant and he a young kid, yet after it seems like they are supposed to be the same age. I wonder: if Zorro is a Hispanic ninja, what do you call a group of Hispanic ninjas, since there is only one Zorro... I think the beginning and the ending are way too similar and that he is somehow actually related the the original.

The Woman in Black

Description:
A young lawyer travels to a remote village where he discovers the vengeful ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals.

Okay movie. Didn't want to watch it at first, since it seemed boring and that sometimes I forget that an actor can be anything but one character...which I kind of did with now so far three people: Daniel Radcliffe, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Patterson. The movie would have been better if maybe I had watched it in a theater, so the sound was not amazing, and we could not really hear them as they whispered...since it was a ghost movie there was a lot of that. Didn't see the ending coming, and since it ending like that does that mean the entire movie was basically useless. since nothing really happens when you get down to it. Not sure what the point of the movie was....

The Cat Returns

Description:
The story is of a girl named Haru, a quiet, shy and unassuming high school student who has a suppressed ability to talk with cats. One day, she saves a darkly-colored, odd-eyed cat from being hit by a truck on a busy road. The cat is Lune, Prince of the Cat Kingdom. As thanks, the cats give Haru gifts of catnip and mice, and she is offered the Prince's hand in marriage. Her mixed reply is taken as a yes.

Interesting movie. One of the few movies I can't really foretell much on. After watching it, Princess and I were trying to figure out the movie title; normally we don't talk about movies too in-depth, since most don't call for any real thinking, and sure we love things to be easy sometimes it's too easy and we want to know our brains are working. The literal translation makes more sense to me, The Cat's Repayment, but this one makes more sense on a higher level of thought.

Happily N'ever After

Description:
An alliance of evil-doers, led by Frieda, looks to take over Fairy Tale Land. But when Ella realizes her stepmother is out to ruin her storybook existence, she takes a dramatic turn and blossoms into the leader of the resistance effort.

I liked the movie....It was a different twist to a well loved fairy tale: Cinderella...I liked how it doesn't make Hollywood go into a Cinderella craze as Snow White and it was not really part of that fairy tale phase that is going on right now. Yes, she has a backbone, yet not as bad to where the movie is centered around her an her female power or pride, yes, that's a wonderful message to put across to young females, and that it's more realistic. Loved the humor, and how they put all the fairy tales together....though I wonder with all of the fairy tales, why is it one kingdom, we need more Prince Charming's and Castles.

Scooby-doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

Description:
Mystery Inc. must save Coolsville from an attack of past unmasked monsters brought to life by an evil masked figure trying to "unmask" the gang.

The movie was good. Personally if I turned into a super genius, I'm staying that way...but Scooby is a dog so I guess automatically he wanted to go back. Still confused on what stage everyone is in life, due to the movies and shows of Scooby-Doo...why can't they simple stick with one age or very slowly progress...or maybe even go flashback to. Random thought: if Velma tends to like the bad guy, in some way, which can be seen through other movies and some episodes of shows (besides when she dates Shaggy briefly) does that mean that Patrick is evil, will be evil, or is the real mastermind behind the whole thing. Also, at what time setting is Scooby-Doo in, I was getting whiplash from this movie alone...Daphne's go go boots, Velma's (?) leather disco outfit, and the abundance of modern technology...what the muffins people stick with a time zone....

The Fantastic 4

Description:
A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom.

Remembered it differently, but I have bad memory so… good movie, ends with possibilities of a sequel. It has some interesting questions, does that mean you can shave rubber since he didn't cut himself… and things of that nature. I kind of feel like reading the comics to learn the back story...but then again there are a lot to read, especially since the movie gave it more hype. My favorite personality was Johnny, since he was the comedy, helped progress the plot by making Ben hate it more, and by being the person to bring everyone outside.

Kiss Me Princess

Description:
When a prince's soon-to-be-bride elopes two days before their wedding, her desperate family dresses up their young son and send him to get married in her place. With his deep blue eyes and flowing blond hair (and strategically placed apples), nobody suspects the pretty pubescent standing before them. But how long can he keep up the charade? Despite the odds stacked against them, the two princes share adventures and intimacies in a story filled with imagination and visual delight.

Liked the bonus at the end. Answers all the questions in the end, that it creates. Also, has a ending for everyone, most are happy. At first, I was dying inside due to the slow progression but it quickly picked up. I saved lots of pictures because I liked the drawing (and I loved the designs of clothes/hair). It was the third Manhaw I ever read, and so far the third I one I liked enough to save so many pictures; it's on the list of things to find and buy that's for sure. Not very graphic so it could go for the shounen ai rating, but I found it in the yaoi section and that things were implied, just skipped.

Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

Description:
When a young owl is abducted by an evil Owl army, he must escape with new-found friends and seek the legendary Guardians to stop the menace.

Wasn't to enthused to watch a bunch of birds...Watched the movie as I was eating dinner and pelts not the most happy thing to see, it was awkward and didn't feel like eating for a little. The movie was okay-ish, not amazing but not where I wanted to gag myself with a spoon. It went slow motion at the weirdest parts and the speed up then back to slow motion. Once again another movie that could have a sequel, yet none.

Magic Knights Rayearth

Description:
Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji are on a field trip to the Tokyo Tower with their respective schools. The girls are blinded by a flash of light and hear a voice calling for the Legendary Magic Knights to save Cephiro. They fall through the sky into another world, Cephiro. Once there, they meet Master Mage Clef. Clef explains, "[In Cephiro], one's will has the ability to change reality for better or worse. The dark fears in people's hearts become monsters, while a well-intended wish can do miracles. One person, the Pillar, whose will is stronger than anyone else's, is responsible for maintaining through her prayers the well-being of Cephiro."

I liked it, slightly confusing. It turns out that everything misunderstood. Clamp likes to use characters over again, I knew that but not to the extent of magical animals people posses…also the characters that posses the same animals seem to be similar too: Kuro-pu and Umi are the only ones that seem to really get mad at Mokona, Fuu and Fai both smart with hidden talents, also Syran and Hikaru are naive and ready to jump in on what they believe no matter what. Curious as to why Mokona couldn't talk, and things like that. Not sure which of the three girls is overall Clamp's favorite: Hikaru the leader, Fuu the person with the love interest and more abilities, or Umi the comedy (all personal opinions) .

Dark Shadows

Description:
An imprisoned vampire, Barnabas Collins, is set free and returns to his ancestral home, where his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection.

Great movie. Saw it in the theater...oh my google yes I do walk outside, and sometimes watch the movie in the theater. I am not sure if I should watch the original show, because I now feel as if I well be let down, since it's black and white (yes I get bored easily with lack of color), and that I might expect things from the movie, as I do when I read a book then watch the movie...expecting too much. I wonder if there well be a sequel, with the way it ended and all. Also, I would like to see how the two vampires relation turns out...and what werewolf?!?!?!
